In Krakow you need to spend 2-3 days at least. Preliminary tour program: 1 day. Vilnius - Augustow - Krakow. On the way we stop for dinner. Late hotel accommodation. Day 2 Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Krakow (duration 3-4 hours): Wawel Castle, Market Square, Kanonikov Street, Mariacki Church, Monument to Adam Mickiewicz, Jagiellonian University and others. Lunch in a restaurant in the old town (we will try local dishes in a national restaurant). Free time. A trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, located 15 km from Krakow. We will visit the salt mine and its dungeons (which have been continuously operating for 700 years), decorated with various sculptures, chapels and churches. This miracle was created simultaneously by man and nature (one of the oldest salt mines in Europe). Salt production was stopped only in 1996 (due to floods and low salt prices). The total length of the tunnels is more than 300 km, they reach a depth of 327 m. Since 1994, Wieliczka has become a historical monument of Poland with a 3.5-km tourist route.

In Krakow we will definitely have to see: Jagiellonian University (one of the oldest universities in Central Europe); Krakow Barbican (a Gothic-style defensive fortification; the main city gate leading to the Old Town of Krakow, which was originally surrounded by a 30-meter-wide moat); Krakow National Museum (today, about 70,000 works by Polish and foreign artists are displayed here); Wawel Palace and Wawel Hill (a Renaissance palace built in the 16th century, the residence of Polish kings); Cracow Aviation Museum (considered one of the best museums in Europe and has an impressive collection); The Casimir Quarter (uniting six synagogues and three Christian churches. Steven Spielberg's film “Schindler's List” was shot here); St. Mary's Basilica (a Gothic-style church located on the Market Square. Every hour, a trumpet is heard from the tower, which is interrupted every time in the same place).
You will also see
In addition, we will offer you to go to Czestochow, which is visited by at least 5 million tourists every year. In the monastery Jasná Hora (the holiest place in Poland) you will see the image of the “Black Madonna”. It is believed that this painting was painted by the Evangelist Luke on a cedar table made by Jesus. Another noteworthy city - Zakopane (the southernmost city in Poland, located in a valley near the highest part of the Tatra Mountains) - is better known as the winter capital of Poland, but in the summer there is also a very active life. A tour of Zakopane will last about 3-5 hours. We will climb the lift to Mount Gubalowka, here we will have a wonderful panorama of the Tatra Mountains and the neighboring mountain ranges - Highlanders, Pieniny and Zywiecki Beskydy. After a walk along the mountain trails, we will return to Zakopane, where the excursion will continue through the old part of the city.
