We will visit the church, the School of Art and at the memorial stone. Accommodation at the hotel in Druskininkai, rest. Dinner. Walking tour of Druskininkai. Visit to the National Art Museum of M.K. Ciurlionis. Free time. Night at the hotel. Day 2. Breakfast. Moving into the cultural capital of Lithuania – Kaunas. Excursion to the National Art Museum of M.K. Ciurlionis, who founded in 1921 and is the first and largest art museum in Lithuania. You will see the scripts – The Museum collects, preserves and studies the work of MK Ciurlionis. Free time in Kaunas. After visiting the museum, take a stroll through the city center, on the main pedestrian street – Freedom avenue. City tour “Kaunas – cultural capital” with a tour of the main attractions. You will get acquainted with many interesting and mysterious places, which hides the old town – you will see the legendary Kaunas Castle, Town Hall, and the white city’s cathedral. Free time. Transfer to Vilnius. Night at the hotel. Day 3. Breakfast. Walking tour ” Ciurlionis in Vilnius”. A visit to the Museum-apartment of Ciurlionis in Vilnius. The exhibition, which is dedicated to the anniversary of Sofia Kimantayte. Free time. A visit to the supermarket – buying souvenirs, Lithuanian products, water and food for the journey.

During the tour in Kaunas you will see the Old Town of Kaunas, Kaunas Castle at the confluence of the two largest rivers of Lithuania, the house of Perkunas, Vilnius Street, Liberty Alley, Unity Square, climb the old funicular. This is a great opportunity to visit the most important sights of Kaunas: see the “White Swan”, “The House of Thunder”, “Sundial”, “Vytautas Church”; hear the love story of Duke Zygimantas Augustas and Barbara Radvilaite, learn about the longest bridge in Kaunas. In a tavern in a folk style, we will try Lithuanian traditional cuisine - cepelinai. And then we can visit the Pajaislis Monastery, the largest monastery complex in Lithuania, built in the Italian Baroque style, where the grave of A. Lvov, who created the music for the anthem “God save the King”.

You will also see

During a walking tour by Druskininkai, you will visit the National Art Museum of M.K. Ciurlionis (where he lived and worked in 1896-1910), which was founded in his parents’ home in 1963. The memorial part of exposition consists of two wooden houses introducing history of the family. In one of them there are family physharmonica, piano of M.K. Čiurlionis and other authentic family belongings displayed, whereas the other building is an authentic study of M.K.Čiurlionis. Various events, meetings with artists, concerts and exhibitions take place at the museum. In Druskininkai many places associated with M.K. Ciurlionis. For example, a monument, which was opened in 1975 on the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist.
