Meeting with a guide is possible in Kaunas or in Vilnius. if you yourself arrived in Kaunas, the guide will be waiting for you in the city center and you can start the tour immediately. Kaunas is a city known for its interwar architecture. In 1919, having become the capital of Lithuania, Kaunas in a short time turned from a provincial town into a “little Paris”. Schools, universities, hospitals, museums, theaters, art galleries, residential buildings, public and government buildings, houses of worship were built in the style of modernism (functionalism, constructivism). The high concentration of Art Nouveau buildings in Kaunas is a unique phenomenon not only for Europe, but for the whole world. In 2015, Kaunas Modernism was marked with the European heritage mark, and in 2016 it was included in the preliminary lists of UNESCO.

You will also see

During the excursion, we will walk around Kaunas, along its cozy narrow streets, see the most significant objects of Kaunas modernism, ride on one of the oldest funiculars in Europe (for an additional fee), learn about the architect V. Dubenetskiy (this is one of the youngest professors of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts ).
